The Atlanta Chapter of the National Hampton Alumni Association selected one of our own as its 2026 Ivory Lee Young Jr Community Service Award winner.
Michael Andrew Byrd is this year's winner as he exemplifies our alma mater's motto of Letting His Life do the Singing. Over the years, Michael has led efforts in voter accessibility, higher education admissions and financial aid opportunities, fundraising for Hampton University both nationally and within Ubiquity, eliminating food insecurities locally, boosting health regimens, inclusive of donating toothbrushes to school children in Ghana and donating blood. Let your light so shine....
